Refugees with Disabilities

Refugees with Disabilities

This project documents adults with disabilities who fled the occupied territories of Ukraine and found refuge in a specialised care home in southeastern Poland.

Many arrived without medical records or personal belongings and faced interruptions in their treatment and care. The photographs show daily life inside the former hospital building, including residents’ rooms, shared spaces, rehabilitation, and interactions with care staff.
